Newman Medical has been involved in the medical industry for decades. More specifically, they have been manufacturing Doppler machinery from their Lake Bluff, Illinois facility since 1976 under the name Imex Medical Systems. After leaving the Doppler market 20 years later, Spencer Newman began to see the advances in this technology lag and the customer service for those who used Doppler devices begin to decline. Recognizing an opportunity to provide exceptional machines along with a top notch customer experience, he brought the company back to the Doppler market under the name Newman Medical.
Newman Medical offers two basic product lines – the simpleABI Systems and the DigiDop Doppler monitoring tools. Both are backed by a customer service and technical staff to help not only navigate the systems’ interfaces but also understand the nuances of the diagnostic process.
simpleABI Systems are designed for the diagnosis of peripheral artery disease. Featuring a Doppler with an 8MHz probe and multiple cuffs for easy diagnosis, the simpleABI Systems have the familiarity of a PC interface with fast push-button controls. Dual ankle pressure capabilities provide the gold standard for diagnosis while color coded hoses and an easy to navigate user interface guides you through the process. Optional accessories such as rolling carts, baskets, medical bags, and additional cuffs, round out Newman Medical’s offerings.
The DigiDop family of Doppler monitors have a range of features but have a few commonalities. All are incredibly sensitive, up to six times that of other brands. All feature a Smart Recharge System that allows the device to be charged without alkaline batteries. All DigiDop Doppler systems come with a five-year warranty on parts and labor. All are backed by knowledgeable customer service representatives. Whether it is the table top OB probe, the portable OB probe or the non-display vascular probe, each DigiDop can be purchased with additional probes and Newman Medical ultrasound gel for optimum patient care.
